I had the pleasure of photographing an awards evening function for a corporate client last weekend. I followed the brief of couple photos, decor, awards etc and put on my happy smiley face. I know some people are reluctant to have their photo taken by a complete stranger so I merrily set out my imaginary red carpet which they all posed on. One lady tried hard to detour the line and I called her back saying I needed to take her photo otherwise I wouldn’t get paid! (I know how to lay the guilt on thickly).
She shyly came up to me and says she hates having her photo taken and hasn’t had a photo of herself in 25 years. I wanted to just cry for her.
Have you ever considered that photos are your legacy, they tell a story with no words. Long after your stories have been splashed with additional juicy information which wasn’t real in the beginning, your photos don’t lie. They show your soul. Not one of us can say that we don’t like paging through photo albums and having a good chuckle! My 3 school friends and I will be chuckling over our year end gathering last year (which was in a tree) for years to come.
This lady allowed me to take her photo and I believe she will like it. Don’t worry about the outfit or the goofy smile or the bad hair day – just shoot! And if you want some really classy airbrushed photos, then come to me!
So, my challenge to you this weekend is shooting. Get your camera’s out, and have fun. You may well end up with an award winning image!!

If there was a quiz as to how many people have ever gone on diet, I reckon it would be 8/10 people! It seriously is a 4 letter word!
I've been wanting to write this message for a while and as per usual, something else comes up. But, the other morning I was reading MWebs home page and they had an article on the product 'Simply Slim'. For those of you who have used this / are using this / consider using it - don't!!! All those 'natural' ingredients have horrible side effects and 4 patients have already been diagnosed with heart problems. Anything that claims to have a result without any effort is a con. The only time 'success' comes before 'work' is in the dictionary.
I have a girlfriend who has yo-yo dieted her whole life and even had plastic surgery, but just short of a year ago, she changed her mindset and sought professional help. She learnt to read her body, what it needed vs what it wanted and also what to eat when. Diet works 100% better when complimented with exercise and once she found something she enjoyed, the weight melted off before my eyes. She lost 26kgs iin 18 weeks and is the slimmest she has been in years. What it has done for her self confidence and her attitude is indescribable. She is living proof that quick fixes and fad diets don't work.
We all know what we should and shouldn't eat, even though we try hard to justify that carrot cake has a vegetable in it and chocolate comes from a bean :). It is best to consult a professional who will be able to educate you on the 'how, what, why, when' of food because we are all totally different and what works for one does not work for the next person.
So if 2010 is 'your' year to be a 'new you', then don't put off this goal any longer. If you'd like to make contact with my inspirational weight loss girlfriend, let me know and I will forward your details to her.
Your body is like a sexy sleek convertible - feed it the right fuel for maximum performance! I can be so philosophical sometimes :)
Have a fabulous week

Hello all you lovely people
I trust Father Christmas brought you lots of nice goodies and that you all had a good break.
And tomorrow our sprogs go back to school. I will certainy be challenged with my eldest who starts high school as I'm not sure how much I will be able to help him with his homework after looking at his textbooks. Dreaming of being back at school is a serious nightmare although I adore still being in touch with my school friends.
Girls, Valentine's Day is a month away! If you didn't give your man a Fab Fem book or photos for Christmas, why not do it for Valentine's Day? I've put together a BUDGET package for those of you (like me) who have closed your eyes as you sign the credit card slip at the uniform shop!
And don't worry about the extra pounds from mince pies and cake! I'm good at hiding those tell tale signs. Bring along a sense of fun and adventure and let me show you that you are fabulous just as you are!
Wishing you a year of adventure, fun, self worth and all good things!

I am on a high today and no, its not because I've been sniffing glue all morning! I'm just in a jolly good mood and am happy. I have a long note I want to write but don't have time to write it now, it will have to come later in the week but want to write this before you all get splashed on the front of the social times papers :)
Many of you are going to be going to company Christmas parties and will no doubt end up having your photos printed in local papers and of course on Facebook and other social media! As a photographer, I shake my head at some photos and have to ask that famous question "What were you thinking?" Some pics are utterly embarressing if not downright awful. So, to look your finest and grandest, here are my tips:
1) Don't face the camera directly - thats for ID photos only. Turn slightly sideways, it makes for a far more interesting photo.
2) Ladies, if you are not carrying a clutch bag but have that bag that has everything but the kitchen sink in, put it on the floor when you have your photo taken ... left over your shoulder will make you look like a rolled pork roast - yugh!
3) If you are sitting at a table, make sure there are no wine bottles, glasses, candles in front of you when the photographer is ready for you. You don't want to look like you've got the bar on your table.
4) Ladies, put lipstick on, they are not bothered with making you look nice before going to print!
5) If in a group, and unlike me who always ends up in the front row, make sure you can see past the person in front of you otherwise you look like you've been 'photoshopped' in or forgotten about.
6) If you are the photographer - LOOK before you take the pic at what is behind the group, you don't want strange things sticking out your friends / colleagues heads!
And, remember, Big Brother aka Facebook sees everything so be careful ... you don't want to join the Britney, Paris and Pamela Anderson club of unsavoury videos!
Till next time, keep smiling!

So what do you put out for Father Christmas after he’s driven half way round the world with a sleigh full of presents and has parked his panting reindeers now all slobbering on your roof? My Father Christmas doesn’t do cookies and milk and understands that too many Amstel are not good for an old fart even with a GPS so is happy to scrap the milk and have coke and biltong instead. But, what have you put UNDER the tree for him?
There are going to be many beaming men rubbing their tummies with glee this Christmas when they see their scantily clad ladies photos from “Fabulously Feminine Photography”.
I so enjoy my job, especially the emails that get exchanged prior to the shoot of how nervous the ladies are and excited at the same time. By the end of the shoot, they are happy to walk around the studio naked and laugh and chat as though we’ve been best mates for years. I would also love to have the super power of being a fly on the wall when those men get the photos. There is no gift that a woman can give a man that can top a collection of sensual photographs. They are so personal and so from the heart. I take great pride in what I do and my goal as a photographer is to see you as you would like to see yourself AND, to try see what a man would like to see. I think to a large degree I’ve got that box pretty much ticked.
Come on girls, be daring one last time in 2009, have a sensual photoshoot, have a calendar and / or photobook made, make your Father Christmas the happiest man in a red suit ever! By the time Valentine’s Day arrives, he will be wondering how on earth he will be able to match your gift!!
Call me now. I will be closing on Saturday 19 December so don’t leave it till the last minute.
Fabulously yours always

Hello all you fabulous people
I’m sure many of you have seen the movie “Bruce Almighty” and if you haven’t, hire the DVD this weekend, it’s a real good laugh. How many of you absolutely love your jobs? I love my job but am quick to confess that I find the photoshopping quite tedious at times because it is lonely and takes time. However, imagine having God’s job!! Whoo boy – no thank you sir!
But I have this idea that He sits each morning in front of a gazillion piece puzzle, carefully putting certain pieces in place, those pieces each representing you and someone you are to meet or someone who is to come into your life down the line. I’ve seen this happen in my business. I had a client come for photos who made an impact on my life in a profound way that has led me to make certain changes that could be life changing. Perhaps my doing my job will help women go home and have changed relationships with their loved ones, and this God knows, He is the one who puts the puzzle pieces together when the time is right.
This leads me to topic of “Clutter”. I went to a business network meeting on Wednesday and met a dynamic woman who introduced herself as “Kick Arse Kate” J She said that clutter does not necessarily refer to ‘stuff’ that needs tidying up, for example the pile of books that you have on your bedside table (which you shouldn’t have), but the stuff that clutters you up emotionally, physically and spiritually. How can we function smoothly, efficiently and with joy when there is so much clutter in and around us? I’m the first to put my hand up and admit that I’m a big ‘paper shuffler’! My desk is organised chaos. But, now that I have ‘kick arse Kate’ pricking my conscience, I will be more mindful of decluttering my life.
Consider what puzzle pieces God is putting next to your puzzle piece and how you can declutter your life so you can be less stressed and more free.
Go dance and be happy! Love who you are – there is no puzzle piece like you J

P.S Girls come for an 'out the box' experience of a sensual photoshoot, you will love the feeling that it leaves you with! Passion, power and upliftment!

After finishing my shoots yesterday, I plonked myself on my bed and slept for 2 hours (through the rugby nogal). The excitement and exhileration of my work had taken its toll. I woke up this morning wondering if Barack Obama enjoys his job as much as I do mine! Do politicians run for president because they want to make a difference, for the prestige and power or for the financial gain? Whatever the reason, I'm certain that they don't derive the same satisfaction from their jobs as I do from mine. I get to meet so many phenomenal women, each with their own story and each enriching my life in a small way. Regardless of who you are, know that you are here for a purpose! Reach out and grab the opportunites that await you.
My diary is filling up for Christmas photoshoots - book yours to avoid disappointment.

This if for those of you incredible women who have found my advert in the "Intimacy" and "Intiem" magazines! If the idea of have a sensual shoot sounds just like the ideal gift for your man but at the same time terrifies the living daylights out of you, its not a bad thing. We are all afraid of the unknown and prefer being in our comfort zones. But, once you'd done something you thought you couldn't do, the reward is hard to describe hey?! Being a woman myself, I know all about other women's insecurities; the droopy boobs, the stretch marks from babies, the bum that just doesn't look like it did years ago, but, those don't matter because its you as your sensual self that comes across in your photos! I will show you that you are gorgeous, even more than you know or have been told! I love a challenge so let me prove to you that going out your comfort zone in 2009 will be the highlight of your year!
Call me now and book a shoot.

I’ve just returned from a relaxing holiday with time to tan (and peel all in one go), read, write my book, enjoy my family and reflect. I also learnt a valuable lesson too. We spent a few days at Lindani, a game reserve in the Waterberg with only animals as our other company. No tar roads, no electricity (but solar and gas for sanity sake), no traffic, just nature at its finest.
My husband and sons love riding and on Thursday afternoon, I decided to join them on a ride. Sand roads are a little tricky but nothing I can’t handle. They were no problem until the uphill rocky road loomed before me. By now my lungs felt like they were on fire and I decided if my 9 year old son could do this so could I. I pushed my bike up the rocky hill panting and puffing loud enough to wake all the nocturnal animals! The other side was a breeze but, what waited around the corner got my adrenalin racing – a downhill narrow path of pure rocks! Off went Kyle, off went Ryan and Dad stayed to bring up the rear. It was now or never, I had to go. Whilst wanting to squeal and scream like a typical girl, I replaced that with ‘whoo hoos’ all the while holding my brakes, saying silent prayers and being a tough mom. The rock that I didn’t miss which resulted in a side swipe fall, a grazed elbow and knee and a dusty face smeared with dots of tears was not enough for me to give up. I had started and I was determined to finish. And when the rocky path was replaced with tuft grassy bits, the thrill turned to puffing and panting again. Back at ‘Base Camp’ I acknowledged that the ride was fun and I’d do it again no problem. But, had I not gone, I would not have been able to enjoy this experience that has left a taste for more thrill rides.
The same applies to Sensual Photography; it’s an ‘out the box’ experience that every woman should try. I have yet to have a client leave that didn’t enjoy the shoot and keen to see the results. How do you know you won’t enjoy a shoot unless you try? The cherry on top is the response of the recipient who receives the photos!
Don’t put off till another day what you can do today, book a shoot! After all, you are FABULOUS!
P.S Girls, come and have an 'out the box' experience of a sensual shoot, you will love the feeling you get from it!

Hello everyone
It's Saturday afternoon in sunny Johannesburg and I'm sitting at my desk multitasking! Its a sure fire way of keeping boredom at bay, the only thing missing on my desk is a vanilla latte and some hot apple pie.
By the way, "high fives" and "knuckle dusts" to all the new members for those receiving posts from me for the first time. Mostly the messages are light hearted and sometimes poignant (if that is the word that fits that I think does).
My heart is to uplift women, hence the reason why I've gone into sensual photography and being fulfilled by making women feel good about themselves. It is a very satisfying job to see the butterflies emerging and feeling on top of the world.
And yes, there are men in this group who want to know which of our buttons to press and I welcome their feedback, it also helps us ladies to understand your planets ways too.
Other than writing this message, I'm photoshopping and writing a book all at the same time!! Go check out www.gentlemansprerogative.com. The author, Paul du Toit has asked me to write a similar book from a woman's point of view. If men think we are complicated, they are just as complicated, they just don't carry tissues in their wallets or worry if their bums look fat in jeans. I'm chuckling at that idea.
No seriously, about that good read ... often I hear that still small 'voice', you know the one that prompts you to phone a friend, or to do something out of the ordinary? For a while now, I have been listening to this 'voice' telling me to share this book with you. A while ago, we were recommended a book to read called, "His needs, her needs - building an affair proof marriage" by Willard Harvey. I absolutely loath 'text book' kind of self help books which most are, but, this one is an incredibly easy read and makes SO much sense, as if the light had been switched on. Many of you in this group have a good relationship so this may not be applicable to you but you may have a friend who is battling that you can share this with. If you are going through a rough patch in your relationship, this book will help you to understand what needs to be done to fix it. If relationships were easy, there's be alot less probems in the world, in an ideal world of course. But in reality, relationships are like farming - needing to be worked on and tended to day in and day out. Most problems stem from a communication breakdown but many stem from a poor self image and low self esteem. If we could understand what our partners needs are, our farms would be flourishing. Go check out this book, around R100 from Exclusive Books or Cum Boeke.
Ladies, if you've been feeling low or need reassurance as to how wonderful you are, a sensual photoshoot is probably the most awesome gift you can give yourself. If you can love who you are, it makes it easier for a man to love you too! And if you have a positive self image, a sensual shoot is a fabulous gift for your special man!!
Share this with those you love, I just did!

P.S Did you know I have a medical degree in photoshop - I can whiten teeth, remove blemishes, smoothen skin, cut off wobbly bits etc and you feel no pain!! :-),

Christmas is just over 3 months away - and no doubt there'll be decorations in the shops in the next 6 weeks! Kind of takes the Christmas spirit away for me. But, it is a good time to start buying gifts - why spend your hard earned bonus on gifts when you should be spending it on yourself or your home!
I've added calendars and photobooks to my business, go look at the samples in the Photo Products tab.
As a pre Christmas special, if you book a shoot during September or October, you'll get a 20% discount on either a calendar or photobook. And do not worry about still being lily white - photoshop has a tanning tool :-)
There is also another book that you can add to his stocking, "A Gentleman's Prerogative" by Paul du Toit www.gentlemansprerogative.com - a witty and charming way to handle women stylishly. Perhaps after reading this, your man will be able to understand your 50 different personalities throughout the month and what buttons to press and which ones to leave alone!
I'm not a bookworm, although I do enjoy a good book. There is one that I'm going to recommend in my next post, for now, I have to go back to photoshopping my beautiful clients!
Have a fab day and please forward this on to your friends and colleagues.

Hi girls, and of course you guys ...
I know I'm not alone when it comes to gym (which should also be a four letter word!!) - unless I have a gym buddy or a hot personal trainer - what is the incentive to go? So, the other day while I was out and doing errands, I pumped up my CD volume, pushed in my home made 80's favourites and did gym!!! It is easy to clench your buns at the robots and wave your arms around furiously to YMCA, suck your tummy muscles in to hold your breath long enough for 'Summer Nights' from the Grease soundtrack and play drums with Phil Collins. Hmmm, maybe I should sell my 'gym' CD to get you all motivated. Besides a work out - boy, its euphoric to sing 'All by myself' and know that Randall Abrahams from Idols is not critting you for your atrocious singing! I feel great when I can sing along to my CD's and its quite entertaining to other road users who think you're 'off the wall' (Pink Floyd). Taxi drivers will smile instead of pull rude signs!
And the best thing about living in Johannesburg, besides our fantastic weather, is that drivers here know how to 'put your pedal to the metal and feel the difference'! There are exceptions to the rule though - some should STAY in the left lane ONLY!! I have a girlfriend in Cape Town who doesn't know how to drive slowly; her one daughter said a while ago, "Mom, driving to school with you feels like we're in an action movie".
So, do your car aerobics and then come for a sensual shoot!! Christmas is around the corner ....
4 September 2009
Until such time I learnt the secrets of photoshopping, I was marveled at how old celebrities (with the exception of surgery gone wrong Joan Rivers) managed to have flawless skin. And why do only movie stars have long eyelashes and all us average girls have 'standard' lashes. Readers of magazines are obviously stirring if you look at mascara adverts - they are now saying that the mascara is used on lash extensions etc!! So there, NO mascara will lengthen eyelashes and no foundation will give you a 'pore free' skin! Its all photoshopped!
Back to wrinkles - I admire Helen Mirren as an actress - a real classy lady but at 60 odd, she hasn't a wrinkle on her chest!! All my life, I slept on my stomache until pregnancies made that feat impossible. I was told that is was not good to sleep on your stomache because its bad for your posture and neck blah blah blah. So, plenty money later, I have a Tempur pillow - thank goodness for astronauts - they were the motivating force behind this invention. While it prevents me from sleeping on my tummy, I'm forced to lie on my side, but alas, this is the 'wrinkle' postion. While we are far off dreaming about winning the lotto, getting a robot to do chores, kids using their ears for a change, our delightful chest creases all the while.
This is a tell tale sign of a womans age (and her hands). I read a recent article on this very part - the only thing that will help are expensive salon treatments or expensive creams! Alternatively, you could try sleeping on your back and possibly be woken in the middle of the night with jabs to your ribs, "stop snoring". Perhaps a hammock makes good sense for a bed?
Why is it that men age beautifully but women need to keep up with creams and lotions and potions and higher factor sunscreens? But all is not lost, God in His wisdom, made a man's eyesight go fuzzy after 40 - so close up to him - we are beautifully soft focused with no added photoshopping :-)
So girls, loofer, exfoliate, slap on sunscreen, bath in aqueous cream and buy a hammock.
Have a fab weekend

A reason, season or lifetime ...
Hi everyone, tomorrow is officially Spring (at least in Johannesburg it is)
You know they say that 'Every family has one' (Zazu said it to Mufassa in the Lion King) implying that there is always a black sheep in the family? But, every family also has that one person who is sensible and admired and looked up to. I am truly blessed to have such a person in my life and family. She has imprinted on me the thought, "We choose to complicate our lives". Before you shout out, 'no ways', think about it. Many of the things we have, want, need, etc either sustain us or drain us. This brings the subject title in - our lives are what we make of them, we can have seasons that last for a long time or seasons that last a short time. Sometimes things happen and we don't know why, this is where my favourite expressions comes in; "Everything happens for a reason, we may not see it at the time but down the line we do".
So, because we are all familiar with the phrase "Spring Cleaning", maybe its time to clean out more than just the cupboards but our lives too - ditch anything that drains instead of sustains you, get your goals back on track, focus on looking after yourself, invest time in those relationships that are good for you. Ditching certain things or certain people is not being selfish! Remember, never settle for second best because you are not second best!
This all seems rather heavy for a Monday so I'll end off on a light note - I like all of the music on my Ipod, except when it's on shuffle, then I like about one in every fifteen songs.
Have a fabulous week!

Hello everyone, Monday come and gone and Friday beckons yippee
Do we live in an information overload world that has become too much? I buy the odd magazine but buy every issue of 'Psychologies' as I find it interesting and its not filled with photos of stick thin celebrities and perfection. In their latest issue, there was a little book titled something like 52 best self help books revealed. Is it any wonder that we all need 'help' when there are so many books around to eradicate blue days, help raise normal children, deal with the ex blah blah blah - which one should we be reading??
Don't let info overload convince you that perhaps you need therapy. A positive and healthy attitude towards life and yourself splashed with a handful of wonderful friends is all the therapy we need! I see it for myself in my studio - women come feeling fat and ugly, pretty much like the ugly duckling scenario but leave feeling like the swan they dreamed of. Some have even looked at their photos and said, "Thats not me". Seeing yourself in a sensual way is probably the core of your belief system. If you can like yourself in your own skin, then you are worthy of admiration!
So, find an adjective to use for the 'morning mirror ritual' - you know when the hair is seriously bed head styled and if you were naughty and didn't take your make up off the night before, you now look like a Panda Bear - use your adjective, if anything you'll smile at that gorgeous creature staring back at you.
Adele, what's an adjective? Ah, yes, English and school - not my favourite subject either! Its a 'describing' word! So choose a word that matches the first letter of your name
A - Adorable Alison
B - Beautiful Bev
C - Curvylicious Carol
D - Delightful Diane
E - Exciting Evelyn
F - funfilled Freda
G - Gorgeous Gillian
H - Happy Hip Hilary
Go on, choose one that makes you smile even if its silly like Munchy Merle :-)
Until next time you lovely creatures - love, laugh, dance (Ellen Degeneress's catch line)

Hi girls and guys
Today I want to ask one of those 'life' begging questions. Everyone talks about getting from A to B but not A to Z - why? Is the route shorter
Between A to B or is there just too much hard work between A and Z that is best ignored?
While thinking which topic to discuss, I had to think of the title as I so seldom put a subject title in my personal mails. I sort of thought about this A to B thing as a process; like loosing weight. I've "been there done that" and wonder how many dieters get the “in between” support. We are all so revved up at the start of the diet; we get all excited and see ourselves at our goal weight.
Whether one has 5kg's or 25kgs' to loose, it requires the same amount of effort, getting off the starting block. But by the time the 2nd corner comes, most have run out of steam. We've lost a few kilos but the work is just so overwhelming and it seems that the hands that helped us off the starting block have left us to finish alone. Ladies, this is where I think I can help hold your hand again and encourage you closer to the finish line. The whole diet process is wrought with emotions much like a roller coaster. There seem to be more lows with frustration of the bathroom scale being numero uno – then come the clothes that are not as baggy as you’d like them or too baggy and are starting to look like maternity wear and the prospect of being asked, “So when’s your baby due” could turn you into an axe murderer in nanno seconds … the list goes on, hey?
So, how about making the journey bearable, unique and steadfastly a focused one. How about having some photos of yourself that you really can say you love. These needn’t be sensual at all, just very beautiful portrait style pics with a little bare skin showing. If you can love yourself through the process, the finish line and a sensual photo collection will be a worthy gift / prize.
If incentives can work with kids, they can work with adults!
So, let me do a handful of beautiful portraits for you to love so the process of your journey can be emotionally more fulfilling.
Have a beautiful Tuesday
Always
Adele
P.S Please share this message with your friends and get them to join our group.

What do jeans, eyebrows and lipstick have in common?
Actually, nothing! :-) My list of topics to write about is getting longer so I thought I'd give you a Monday boost by sharing my 5c worth on it - besides, its exciting to see something in your inbox and wondering who its from.
Jeans - Woolies have a new range of jeans called "Magic Jeans". These aren't for those of you who still have slim hips but for those like me, the muffin look in low rise/waist jeans is so unsexy. I know that wearing jeans in the waist cuts you in half, but thats only if you tuck something in!
These magic jeans are higher waisted, cut out the muffin look and are so comfy. You can also get them in bootleg, wide and straight cut and are R180.00. They are so comfy and I went back yesterday for another pair only for them to not have my size. I tried on some others that were higher waisted and there weren't as nice so I'll wait till they get new stock in. Go try on a pair, you'll be pleasantly suprised.
Eyebrows - these tufts of hair frame your eyes and ultimately frame your face. If you've never had your eyebrows shaped, do yourself a favour and do it, you'll be happy you endured the plucking or waxing - it makes a huge difference! And guys, bushy eyebrows ranks low down on the sex appeal list! If yours are bursting with excitement, maybe its time to tame them! If the idea of going to a salon curdles your veins, then ask your lady to trim them and pluck out those looonnnngggg ones.
Lipstick - my family know that I have not been a lover of lipstick because somehow I always land up with us much on my teeth as I do on my lips, no matter how much I blot. But with my pale winter skin and gentle coaxing from my darling sister, I ventured into the realm of 'Stay Fast' lipstick with moisturiser. Just be careful, don't do what I did when I went to try find a suitable one. I saw a colour I reckoned could be perfect - jawellnofine - I came home sporting cerise lips and all I was missing was the big coifed hair and leg warmers and a 1980's music CD! hee hee.
Anyway, I did find a colour that works and that my husband approves of and it stays on and the teeth are spared that ridiculous look by doing the thumb suck test to ensure the lipstick hasn't gone too far inside the lips. The moisturiser stick makes my lips feel like they are still part of my face and not puckering off as stay fast does dry out lips.
So girls, put on your lips, do some eyebrow exercises and consider those jeans - guys, say goodbye to your fluffy brows, it may be as effective as a new aftershave :-)
Have a fabulous week

The bra - Part 2
The makeovers have begun .... oh if only every woman could do this, it is life changing! This made me think of the PERFECT gift this morning ...
Instead of giving flowers or a CD or a piece of jewellery to a girlfriend, why not club together with other friends and buy a voucher for a makeover! It will have a far more lasting effect and the results will be tangible. This is ideal for someone who just doesn't get it that they NEED a change. Often we don't even know there is something that would suit us even better and we stick with the same old style year in year out. Buy a voucher!
But, I had to add in my 5 cents worth about Part 2 of the bra. Last time I discussed this, I should have added more in (was reminded of this by a lady who took that note to heart or should I say to breast :-)) ... Are you wearing the right size bra? Oh I know to be a 34B was THE size to be when I was younger, maybe now its a 34D ... snicker snicker ....seriously, the wrong size bra can do horrendous things to your body shape. If you are STILL wearing the same bra size since before you had kids, chances are its wrong. All the major retailers have trained personnel who can measure you correctly and don't get a fright when they tell you you're a 38G but you've been wearing a 36C. Do yourself, your body, your femininity a favour and see what the right size bra does to the look of your cleveage! Whether they are on dim, bright, droop or feel like they need herding and pointing in the right direction, there is the perfect fit for you!
I could write 3 times a week but I know how sometimes it can be a pain to be bombarded with regular mails so I'll refrain from doing that. Instead, all I wish is for you all to feel fabulous in the skin you have.
Fabulously yours

There are 6 very happy ladies at this moment - they have won a makeover each. Congrats to Sam, Bridgette, Ingrid, Shirley, Lynda and Angie. Watch this space for their incredible transformations! I am especially looking forward to the lady who has long hair and probably has had for years that it going to get it ALL chopped off!!
To those who did enter and didn't make it, I so wish I had a wand. The winners had good motivations and certainly sent us photos that made us see what potential a make over would have.
I have sat with Melanie regarding a special rate for those of you who would be interested in a make over and photo shoot. We've both come up with R750 which would include hair, make up and photos - this offer is valid until the end of August 2009. If you'd like to take advantage of this, please call me.
Guys, buy her flowers this weekend, for no reason other than 'just because' ... and girls, run out and greet him when he gets home, make him 'rugby' food for tomorrows game and why not don some tassles and pom poms ...
Here's wishing you all a wonderful and warm weekend. For those of you in the Northern Hemisphere, go work on that tan!
Always

Hi guys and girls
I am marvelled at the number of men who are joining this group! Its great to have you guys on board. Origninally this was going to be a 'tit bit'group for women but I can't exclude you guys so please add your input and maybe I can help you to understand us 'Venusians' or whatever you call us- just not chicks please :-)
I think I speak on behalf of many women (there are exceptions to the rule) that we expect men to know what we are thinking. Wouldn't it be great if we had these visible 'speech bubbles' above our heads for you to read instead of 'sniff' our thoughts.
Guys, sometimes we hope that you'll be sensitive enough to just do stuff without us even asking for it, like a massage. How many women (my hand is up) like to rub their husbands shoulders, give a foot massage, play with his hair etc, silently hoping the same will be given back? Guys, when we do those things, we do it with love and not expecting it back in return, but secretly wanting a bit of it. Our greatest need is affection and if that need is fulfilled, boy, you can guarantee you'll be a happy man too!
I have to run but will keep sending posts ...
Until next time, and without sounding cheesy like Jerry Springer, take care of eachother!
Blessings

Hello all you special people
Now if I had titled the subject - the power of technology, it wouldn't have been as intriguing now would it? I am still a techno phobe to a degree but thankfully I have a super smart 12 year who 'knows everything' (and mom knows nothing :-))
My husband said to me this morning, 'life should have more sparkle instead of being so routinal'. Sad but true; we all pretty much have a routine life but now again, its nice to get it out of its rut and do something different which led me to this note.
So, get your cellphone out from the bottom of that 'bottomless pit' handbag or stop staring at it sitting on your desk and send your man an SMS or for those of you who are clever babes, an MMS. Send something you've never sent before, naughty or nice - suggestions ...
Hey hot stuff ... thinking of you
Fancy a massage later?
You make me want to shout, kick my heels up, shout, throw my hands up (from a song I know but can't remember all the words)
You fill up my senses, like a night in the forest, like a mountain in spring time, like a walk in the rain ...(those of Lyrics from a John Denver song)
Take a photo on your phone of a coffee and send it saying, 'I'm cyber coffeeing with you'
Be imaginative and creative and if you think its just too naughty to SMS - be brave and just do it! He will be like a boy getting his first bicycle (not so you guys in this group receiving this message too?).
And BTW guys, I want to hear from you - what should women out there know about you and that planet you come from?
On that happy ending, have yourselves a lovely weekend wherever you are in the world and do one thing differently this weekend! Don't let routine become boring, alter it a tad.
Hugs and blessings always
Adele
P.S I appreciate your comments and feedback, so keep them coming.
It's 12.10am as I write this, I should be in bed! Have been wanting to write since this morning already.
A big hello to all the new members of the group "Fabulously Feminine Photography". I originally started this group to promote my business but am finding it going in another complimentary direction which I think is most valuable - all about being the best you that you can be. While there are many guys in this group, I do hope that what I share will possibly help you to understand your lady and by all means, we'd love to hear what you have to say. After all, we often are not on the same space ship and even less so on the same planet!
Its funny how certain things pop up when I think of all the fabulous women out there. I'm still reciting the line, 'don't allow someone to be your priority while allowing yourself to be their option". I'm finding that very profound at the moment. I have always said that you should never settle for second best because you are not second best and you have to look after you first otherwise you can be of no benefit to those around you. Its not being selfish, only practical.
The make over competition entries have closed and there are so many worthy candidates. I will let you know soon who the winners are.
I am also toying with the idea of incorporating beauty, fashion, health tips as well as the fun things into these messages. Things like:
Beauty - if you are wearing your make up the same way for the last 20 years, it is definitely time to change it and introduce make up workshops forthose who would like to learn different techniques.
Fashion - if you have big boobs, polo necks and halter necks will only make them look bigger.
Health - there is an email going around about eating fruit on an empty stomache otherwise it ferments your food and it can't get digested blah blah - thats rubbish! There is no scientific evidence to prove that.
Fun - Life is short, eat more pancakes and fewer rice cakes.
If you want photography tips, I can add that in to. When I do portraits, I always show my clients that facing the camera head on is for ID photos only! Turn slightly sideways and the result is far more pleasing.
Please feel free to write on the wall and make suggestions / comments.
I'm off to bed. Sleep tight and sweet dreams

Hi special people
Did you know that perfume has a shelf life?! So, having said that, you must wear your your perfume often and not just on special occasions! Perfume and after shave are considered 'signatures' - so what is yours? I was always reminded of my father when I smelt 'Old Spice', even though we teased him saying he wore Old Mice.
If you haven't found your signature fragrance, do what I did - cheat. Go to Edgars and have a spritz of a scent. When you other half gets home, he'll either not notice (so that won;t be the one) or he'll say, yuck or that's nice!
Perfume leaves a lingering scent when you've left the room, so, find one that is right for you and wear it with pride.

I'm not a rugby fan so here I sit writing in my blog. I've got soup defrosting in the microwave as there is nothing else better for this weather - I'm waiting for the snow ... if it hailed and rained this morning, then hopefully it will snow - oh imagine how lovely sensual photos could be in thick snow? Hmm ... poor lady freezing all her bits off.
I've had a wonderful, busy and exhilerating week. To see makeovers like I have has been incredible. A morning of pampering, make up and a new hairstyle is SO much quicker, less painful and immediately gratifying than plastic surgery, anaesthetic, stitches and bruises.
Regardless of your age, shape or size, I can make you love yourself in photographs! If you don't believe me, put me to the test!
Go check out the 'Monthly Specials' for a chance to have your own makeover!

Hi everyone. Our first recipient of a makeover is going to have a wonderful date with her husband tonight with her new look and feel. She looked superb! Photos coming soon.
Without writing a novel, I wanted to just give you all a photo tip. Having seen so many photos on Facebook of peoples parties and good times, I shake my head at how many are fuzzy and in my books would be deleted without even being uploaded! Without getting technical, the reason for this is more than likely due to moving the camera too quickly after the shot is taken instead of holding it steady until you see the photo captured in the view finder. 'Camera shake' is the cause most commonly attributed to out of focus photos. So, keep snapping all those incredible memories but do your best to take the best shot possible. Your memories are priceless.

All the 'Makeover' winners have been announced and as excited as can be for their transformations so watch this space. I am really looking forward to this, especially the girl who has been blonde forever and in a few days, will no longer be blonde or the one with long hair that will soon have short hair! Nips and tucks transform underneath the clothes, but hair and make up are for all to see!
08 July 2009
I had the pleasure of talking to a group of delightful women in their 50's this morning who call themselves 'Calendar Girls'. I chose the topic, "What do you see in the mirror vs what he sees in the mirror." As women we look at the parts of our bodies that we don't like, the cellulite or rolls or sagging boobs. BUT, they are just 'parts' and do not make us who we wholly are! What about the curly hair, beautiful eyes, nice hands, and the heart? Men see a wife, a friend, a confidont, the mother of his children - everything we seem to not see. We all have good parts which we forget about. Men are quite happy exposing their boeps on the beach but we women cover up. Its time to celebrate the whole you and include all the parts that help make who you are!
WIN A MAKE OVER VALUED AT R1600

When last did you feel sexy?
- Have you been feeling like a hamster in a wheel that doesn't want to stop?
- Do you feel you have no more 'me' time?
- Do the kids get treats before you?
- When last did you pamper yourself?
- Do you ever wish you had a magic wand?
- Do you have more 'bad hair days' than good ones?
- Do you still remember what it feels like to go out and love what you see in the mirror, walking with your head held high and your shoulders back, feeling powerful yet feminine and beautiful?
Can’t remember?
If you answered yes to any of the above, I’m not your fairy godmother, but the next best thing! I’m looking to transform you from the ordinary woman into the extraordinary in a few hours.

P.S The above before and after photo is of Sue, aged 47 and one of the most amazing women I know. She spends most of her time under water teaching scuba diving or underwater hockey! Sun, sand, sea and chemicals are not good for your skin or hair. She looks as sensational as she now feels!!
Imagine what your before and after photos could look like .....
June 29 2009
For those of you who have been married forever or in a relationship forever, you'll relate when I say that it takes hard work to keep the spark alive. But, you don't have to spend a fortune or get sky writers to remind your loved one that you do love them.
Take for instance, my husbands pet love ... unrolling his socks in the mornings .... Now and again, I put little love notes in his socks! Sometimes I write on a torn off piece of paper, "you're hot" or "wait till later.." or even "you are special". Just a few personal lines can make his day and be that cherry on top! Don't stop at the socks, how about the P.S chocolates in the bottom of his briefcase or the email with clip art pictures attached with one sentence .... thinking of you and shower the page with clip art hearts. Guys, try this on your girl - you'll be SO glad you did :-)
Effort does not go unrewarded!

I'm planning my next big promo and have lots of super ideas. One inspirational quote that has come to mind is the one, "If you don't like something, change it and if you can't, change your attitude." This surely applies to our bodies. And I am with you all on the 'diet is a four letter word'. So, we should all take a good look and appreciate what we see and have.
My aunt has Multiple Sclerosis and it is debilitating. Some of you may know someone with the same condition. I think they'd far rather trade their frail bodies and wheel chairs for flabby rolls and droopy boobs any day. Having said this, we should be grateful that our bodies do work!
For those of you who are watching 'Miss Naked Beauty Contest' (BBC 180 Tuesday's 21h30), there is a contestant who stands out for me. She isn't even 5ft! She is not happy with her stretch marked tummy after having had her daughter but what Gok Won said to her, blew me away. He told her that she has proof that she has brought a life into our world. Being a woman is a wonderful gift from above! You are incredible.

A change is definitely as good as a holiday! This girl above is a truly wonderful, gentle and warm hearted person. With make up and hair styled by Glamour Lounge and a sensual photoshoot; she not only looked sensational, she felt it too!
Regardless of your age, a makeover will most definitely bring out your best features, and, you'll have some fabulous photos too. If you are feeling a little down, not enjoying winter, going through a rough patch, or just not your happy self, then you deserve to spoil yourself with a make over and photoshoot!
I will be adding more before and after's as I go along.
Just imagine how sensational you too can look ...

Ladies, this blog entry is for you. Since my article came out in The Star, I've had a favourable response and suprisingly, I've had many men wanting to book a session for their wives; primarily because they want her to see what he sees, a lovely woman. Husbands are not wanting to have sensual photos to drool over, they want their wives to feel good about themselves. Why is this so? Has modern society made us as women feel like blimps once we've hit a certain age or produced a certain amount of children? No. Sensuality is not a size, age or shape - it's an ATTITUDE! And attitude can be worn in the form of confidence. If you are feeling down or need a pep up, let me show you how lovely you are in photos, capturing your beautiful heart and soul! Self confidence is one of the finest attributes to own.

I had the honour and pleasure of photographing 2 middle-aged women this morning, two different women at different stages in their lives but with the same intention, to walk away feeling good and excited to see what their photograhs will look like. To earn an income from what I love doing is great, BUT, to make a woman feel good about herself cannot be measured in money. It is so fulfilling and for any woman who is going through a slump in her marriage, job, relationship etc, a sensual shoot will most definitely give you a boost and help you to find your groove.

Today is a big day for me, I have my first press release on the back page (Verve section) of "The Star" Friday 22 May 2009. It gives me such pleasure to know that somehow and in some way, God has instilled in me a desire to make women see themselves as He does, beautiful, sensual, worthy of love and above all, a unique creation! To all the ladies out there, I wish I could give you all a mirror to put into your handbags so that you could take it out and look at your reflection and say out loud, "hello beautiful". Our looks may fade over time but it is the beauty within our hearts that shines through and is captured through my camera lens! To all of you women out there, regardless of who or what you are, where you are in your life, know this, you were fearfully and wonderfully made!

I got a mail this morning asking, "Adele, what's it like being 40?" It was an easy mail to respond to! I replied that I've swapped youth for wisdom, I have nothing to prove to anyone anymore and I don't need to keep up with the Jones's. I'm happy in my skin and with who I am and feel more confident now than I did a few years ago. So, having said that, for those of you who aren't at the big four oh yet, don't fear it - embrace it. For those of you over 40, us girls can 'rock on' and know that even though gravity and babies may have taken their tole on us, we are still 'fabulously feminine' AND beautiful!
May 2009
Last night I attended a Ladies Night hosted by Lola Montez at Tanz Cafe in Bryanston and was priveleged to be a guest speaker.
More than ever, I'm convinced that I chose the right name for my business, 'Fabulously Feminine Photography'. I met some fabulous women! The theme was "Bringing Sexy Back" and it is wonderful to see how women are keen and open to be the sensual beings that they were created to be. I'm on a path of 'When last did you feel sexy' and am putting together something to prove that regardless of your age, shape, size, status - you can be sexy.
We all have those silly oversized slippers and lounge around tracksuits but perhaps now and again, we should dress up and feel sexy. The number one tip that Sharon of Lola Montez gave to make you feel immediately sexy is to wear red lipstick! Red is a power colour and everyone can wear it, just find a shade that flatters you. And number 2, wear high heels - not only will you look good, you'll feel good too! Ditch the boring underwear and wear your best ones regularly! If you don't have sexy lingerie, get some. Lola Montez has a super range if you fancy something different.
To those ladies I met last night, it was an honour and I hope to photograph you and remind you all of just how beautiful you are.
Happy May to you all and to all the moms out there, 'Happy Mother's Day' for Sunday.
Fabulously Yours

"I have a good camera so why do I need to go to a professional for photos?" That's a common phrase but how many of those people have awesome photos that they've blown up, framed and hung on the walls? How many of them have family photos with one family member missing who is always the photographer? Put, "have professional photos taken" on your 'To do' list and tick it off this year! When those photos are old, you will really appreciate them!
And for those of you who are toying with the idea of a sensual shoot ... please, don't fear, you do NOT have to take your clothes off! Sensual photography has many meanings, to some it is totally naked images, to others, its wearing sexy lingerie for the shoot and to many, its just showing a bit of skin like bare shoulders. I photographed a lovely woman a few days back who is getting married soon. She had a shoot done and her photos are STUNNING (a word I do not use lightly) and she is giving them to her fiancè as a wedding gift. I am positive he will be thrilled. Don't wait till you're 60 and then say, "I should have had a sensual shoot done". If it isn't for a special someone, why not just do it for you and celebrate the wonderful woman that you are; gorgeous, beautiful and fabulously feminine!
